What is email hosting?
Email Hosting allows you or your company to host your own email service instead of relying on an outside email service provider. You can establish unlimited email boxes or aliases with a few keystrokes using your own Domain Name or even multiple domain names. All your intranet (internal) emails will never leave your office. You are in full control of your email server in order to provide reliable and efficient email service to your employees free of email service provider charges.

Can I host email service on the GallantWEB?
Yes. You can host your own email service on the GallantWEB.

What is the requirement to host email?
In order to hose email, all you need is to have a registered Domain Name and an Internet connection with a fixed IP address. As an alternative, you could use the GallantWEB solely as an intranet Email server.

What software used for email hosting?
The GallantWEB utilizes Postfix, a very secure, robust email server to provide email service (SMTP)

What email clients does the GallantWEB support?
The GallantWEB support all major email clients including Eudora Mail, Netscape Mail, Mozilla Mail, Eudora Mail, Outlook and Outlook Express.

Yes, GallantWEB support both POP3 and IMAP.

Does the GallantWEB GW400 support anti-relay?
Yes, GallantWEB supports anti-relay by utilizing POP-before-SMTP to authenticate outgoing (SMTP) email.

No, currently there is no anti-spam feature implemented on the GallantWEB.

Can I host more than one domain on the GallantWEB?
Yes, the GallantWEB supports multiple domains. However, all hosted domain will used a single user database which means two users with identical user names but different domain names will be treated as one user

What is the maximum load that the GallantWEB can handle?
It depends on the actual email traffic and the bandwidth of the Internet connection. In most cases, a decent ADSL Internet connection will be sufficient for a 50 employee office.
